Deleting Restore Points

This tutorial is for Windows 7.  I may modify it to include Windows XP instructions in the near future.
You can only use this method when your computer starts up normally so restart your PC if it's in safe mode.  You're then going to open the start menu and Right-Click on "Computer", then click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu.

After the next screen comes up, click on "System Protection" on the right side of the window.  It's highlighted in blue and underlined below:

Next when the window below comes up, click on "Configure" which is highlighted in blue below:

Ok, you're near completion.  The next thing you need to do is click on "Delete" which is highlighted in blue below:

You're pretty much done.  The last step now is to click "Continue" when this window comes up and you're done:

Now that wasn't too hard was it?

Cure For The Common Virus

So you've got a virus?  LMFAO!  Yes... I just laughed at you.... because it's frigging hilarious.  Lemme show you how to get those little bastards off of your computer.

First thing you need to do is start up in safe mode.  To do this, start up your computer or restart if it's already on (Just come back to this website afterwards) and keep pressing the F8 key repeatedly on your keyboard until this screen comes up.  MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE "Safe Mode with Networking" using the arrows on your keyboard.

After  you select "Safe Mode with Networking" this a lot of text scrolls up on the screen, don't panic just wait for it to finish.  When the computer starts up open up your web browser and download Malware Bytes.  Click Here to head over to the page (it's CNET, so it's reputable)

Click on the green rectangle that says "Download Now" to download it, then install it.  MAKE SURE after the installatation the two buttons that say "Update Malware Bytes" and "Launch Malware Bytes" are checked.  After the updates are finished, it's time to run the scan.

MAKE SURE you select "Perform Full Scan".  Then click on "Scan".  This may take a while so find something else to do in the meantime.  When the scan is complete, it's on to the next step.

When the scan is complete, you will see this screen.  Click on "Show Results", then it's on to the next step.

Make sure all the viruses are checked and click on the "Remove Selected" button.

When the scan is completed, all you have to do is click "Yes" and you're done.  All that needs to be done is to remove the windows restore points to prevent the same viruses from resurfacing.  That will be in another blog though.

Future Imperfect

Like what you see?  This beautiful sleek computer with a holographic touchscreen display that slides down to create a more ergonomic touch experience and easy navigation?  This computer that has a holographic touchpad (left of the keyboard) and a tower so small, you can fit it in a purse?  I got good news and bad news for you.  The good news is that there's no good news so you don't have to wait as long to hear the bad news.  The bad news is... this computer doesn't exist and at the rate we're going it won't exist for another hundred years or so thanks to the age old corporate f#$kery.  Yeah I know... I got your hopes up and then dropped you flat on your face... *sigh*... it's ok though, I'll get over it.  Here's the thing, as far as companies are concerned, they can sell outdated s#!t that they call technology and take advantage of you, then get away with it because you don't know any better.  Here's the thing about that assumption of theirs... unless you're a tech, they're right.  Think of this as a wake-up call and stay with us.  We have a few things to tell you...
